This place is located on the outskirts of Kazimierz, in a tenement house occupied by the Metropolitan Boutique Hotel. Brick walls, evocative paintings, simple tables next to comfortable upholstered armchairs and couches, all of it contributes to the establishment’s cosy atmosphere. Elegant counter filled with sweets tempts you with its contents as soon as you enter – but we’re getting ahead of ourselves. The menu takes us on a journey through the flavours of the Old Continent; it sometimes breaks up the pace by introducing some Asian inspirations. Starting off with homely żurek, through Italian pastas, to ribs, tweaked here with teriyaki sauce. The selection of dishes is wide, with neatly composed flavours, and the aforementioned desserts – they’re definitely worth that extra hour spent on the treadmill. PSST! Several nights a week you can enjoy some live jazz, swing and classical music.
