The winebar is situated in Lipowa Street in Kraków. Its high-ceilinged interior is bright, characterised by minimalistic, Scandinavian decor, with plenty of white and light, natural wood. Shelves along the walls are stacked with rows of wine bottles. This place serves multiple functions – a winebar, a store, as well as a cultural space. It hosts such events as concerts, wine tastings and Slow Food community meetings. Krakó is the creation of Janusz Jarosz and Paweł Woźniak. They are both wine lovers – Paweł Woźniak has been importing interesting vintages from Georgia and Central and Eastern Europe for many years now. Both are also devotees of Austro-Hungarian culinary traditions. The idea of Slow Wine can be understood as going back to winemaking’s roots, searching for and discovering natural, primary wines from local, frequently forgotten, varieties and habitats. That is why you can taste truly exceptional wines at Krakó. A culinary highlight of this place is the Caucasian grill initiated by the famous Pavel Portoyan – the truck parked in front of the winery emanates smells that even the saint would find hard to resist!
