Go down to this small basement in Jeżyce and you’ll find a special place that tugs at your heartstrings with its authenticity and good energy. Their “authentic folk cuisine” stands for a flavourful journey inspired by Pol¬ish cooking traditions, especially those hailing from Kresy and Wielkopol¬ska. You can eat something different here every day. The menu is short, with dishes rotated in cycles, but always appearing in slightly different versions. Their coulibiacs with different types of stuffing are awe-inspir¬ing and duck-filled pyzy (known as pampuchy or steamed yeast dump¬lings outside of Wielkopolska) are served here in a way more akin to street food. Modra is a great place for lunch or a casual dinner. PSST! The daily baked yeast pie tastes sublimely with cold pressed canola oil and craft beer.
