There is a culinary treasure to be found in this unassuming small tenement house in Leszno’s Old Town. The interior is rustic and bright, without appearing treacly. There is a separate room for private events, perfect to settle in for a feast. The cuisine though, is hardly folksy. On the contrary! The chef is very particular about the ingredients that he puts in his dishes. The mains from Poland and Wielkopolska make for stunning displays on the plates. There’s no shortage of elegantly served potatoes with gzik or this place’s luxury version of kotlet schabowy, naturally made with meat supplied by Nowicki Naturalnie. Although portion sizes are generous, by no means should you skip on dessert, whose spectacle of form matches that of the flavour. PSST! Their czernina is one of the best in Wielkopolska!
