Pod Niebieniem is located near Poznań’s Old Market Square. Interiors with white walls, exposed sections of brick walls and wooden furniture gain a rustic quality owing to accessories and paintings on the walls. The menu is also constructed around what’s local and regional. Among the high quality, pedigree produce you can expect, among others, cheese from Marek Grądzki, quark from Dorota Sumelka, trout from Zielenica, wieprzowina złotnicka and the gold of Wielkopolska – cold-pressed canola oil from Grodzisk Wielkopolski. Local doesn’t mean boring – the chef’s imagination makes his dishes tasty, modern and far from cliché. PSST! Be sure to ask about their pie of the day. It always makes for a delicious home-made surprise.
