The Pod Obrazem tenement house at the Main Market Square houses a boutique hotel and a restaurant with a heritage going back over two hundreds years. The place is basically an institution, showcasing some of Kraków’s best culinary traditions. The interiors are decorated in the style of a bourgeois living room – tables are covered with starched tablecloths, walls are decorated with paintings and dishes are served by elegant waiters. The windows offer a magnificent view of the Market Square and the Cloth Hall. Their traditional menu is a combination of Polish and French flavours. You can order à la carte, but the chef also prepared a tasting menu that consists of several dishes, allowing you to try smaller portions of multiple dishes. PSST! They have a terrace on the Market Square, with a separate menu – it features simpler dishes, including salads and pastas.
